Wow, DJ Brendan brought our wedding to the next level. When we first connected with Brendan, we were immediately impressed by how engaged and professional he was. Very easy-going and adaptable but still able to provide a level of guidance that put us at ease. He interviewed us about what type of music we liked and what we wanted the vibe to be at the wedding. Even after we told him our favorite types of music were 80s and Emo Punk Rock, he still found a way to expertly craft a set that kept guests of all ages on the dance floor all night long! Quote from a guest who doesn’t dance: “Wow, this DJ’s editing is unbelievable. I can’t believe how he is weaving all these songs and genres together.” Quote from a guest who dances/clubs constantly: “I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW GOOD THIS DJ IS. LIKE HE IS UNREAL.” [This guest tipped Brendan independently at the end of the night as a token of genuine appreciation] All this to say, we highly recommend DJ Brendan for your wedding or any event, really. So easy to work with leading up to the wedding (including check-ins by text) and a flawless operator on the big day.
DJ Brendan Lau rocks! Our whole experience with Beat Train Productions was awesome! We were hesitant to go with a DJ but couldn’t afford a band and we did not regret our decision at all. They were affordable and listened to all of our musical wants and needs. Brendan, in particular, was amazing! He worked with us remotely up until the week of the wedding and then when we dropped off the face of the earth in the days leading up to the big day, he took control with very little guidance. We didn’t even meet him until after the ceremony but with a small amount of help from some of our guests he set up and did it all. We were soooo thankful for his independence and professionalism! He didn’t play EVERY song we asked for which would be our one complaint but honestly, the dance floor was NEVER EMPTY! Considering he is relatively new to Beat Train, Brendan has an awesome career ahead. There should be no hesitation in working with Beat Train and if you’re lucky enough to get Brendan, you’re lucky enough!
I and a fellow member of our college reunion planning committee were tasked with finding a DJ for our 25th college reunion. I reached out to my cousins (who were experienced DJs) to see if they had any leads. One of their colleagues recommended Beat Train. I visited their site, provided a few details about the event and what they were looking for and they came back to us with a few options. My partner and I listened to the mixes and decided Brendan Lau was the way to go. And we were very happy with our choice.
Steady communication with the main office helped us stick to our timeline and ensured the contract was accurate and the musical planning with Brendan both online and via Zoom allowed us to review our expectations and tastes. They were very responsive and thorough.
When the actual event rolled around, Brendan did a great job. He played a wide array of dance hits from different genres that appealed to the varied musical tastes of our attendees. He kept the dance floor packed and we received several compliments on his ability to keep the party rocking way past bedtime. We had a blast! Highly recommended.

DJ Brendan was awesome! He was organized, professional, and provided amazing music for our guests. We hosted a Law School reunion, and I can’t remember the last time I saw adults get down on the dancefloor as they did during the night of our event. DJ Brendan really read the room and provided a mix that was perfect for our guests – we didn’t have enough space on the dancefloor for everyone who wanted to dance! Leading up to our event, DJ Brendan was quick to respond by email and always sent a recap of the discussions we had on the phone to be sure we were both on the same page. He also arrived with plenty of time to get set up in the venue space. I was very happy with his service.
We had a great experience with Beat Train productions. Brendan was easy to work with and kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night. We wanted a DJ who didn’t have a big ego and Brendan rarely used the mic and centered the music and dancing, which is exactly what we wanted. Beat Train has a really organized system to help you select songs so the evening runs smoothly.
Brendan was the DJ for our organization’s annual ball. He was flexible and communicative with our team in the weeks leading up to the event, especially with organizing the numerous song requests that our guests had submitted beforehand. On the night of the event, he did a great job integrating different genres of music while keeping the energy and excitement up! The flow between songs was seamless. Our guests loved the dance portion of the event, and Brendan was a major part of that. He worked alongside our team to make sure that everyone was having a good time!
Brendan is great to work with! His fun-loving personality can be heard in his knack for groovy beats and head-bopping sound selections. Not only is he a talented DJ, producer, and mix/master engineer, but I find that I’m always learning something valuable about music when I’m around him. Brendan is someone with undeniable expertise. His DJ mixes are a blend of eclectic remixes and popular tunes with infectious energy that get the whole room on the dance floor. The vibe of my party is always in good hands with Brendan on the turntables.

We are so grateful that we booked Brendan as our wedding DJ! From the very first meeting, Brendan was professional, attentive, and fun.
