Highly Recommend DJ Matt Perry! A DJ was the last vendor we booked for our Maine 2023 wedding and we did multiple inquiries and phone meetings before choosing as we knew the huge importance a DJ has on the party vibe of the wedding. We really wanted to find a DJ that we could guide with our vision, but have them be independent in their job, without having to give a specific Playlist to or directing them on tbe day of. From our first phone call with Matt we knew he was the one for us- he had experience with weddings as well as playing clubs in Portland, and he really took the time to ask questions to get to know us, what our wedding would look like, what vibes we wanted for each aspect of the wedding, and any must haves and must not haves. He checked in with us a few more times leading up to the event and on wedding day he really did it all without any direction from us. He flawlessly flowed from playing all of our requested songs during ceremony processions, to nailing the mood we wanted to set during dinner service, assisting with microphones for speeches, and then most importantly he kept our dance floor packed for the entire 3 2.5 hours! We had 150 guests with a huge range of ages and Matt kept everyone active on the dancefloor. He spoke and directed guests when needed but we loved that he didn’t speak on the mic too much (which we’ve seen happen at other weddings where DJs become the center of attention in a bad way) and just let the music take the night away. He played an awesome mix of love songs, 90s hits and new mixes. At our breakfast the next day guests were all raving about how they’ve never danced for that long at a wedding! We couldn’t recommend Matt any higher!
We hired Beat Train Productions for our special day this past September in Portland, ME and had the absolute best experience ever. We mainly worked with Jake through Beat Train and have nothing but positive things to say. He was professional, polite, and prompt with his replies. The entire process was straight forward and easy, which is all you can really ask for when planning a wedding. We chose DJ Matt to play our wedding venue, and he was absolutely awesome. Matt was also incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and very friendly throughout the entire process. On the evening of the wedding, Matt was one of the first people to greet us to see how we were doing and to make sure we didn’t have any questions or concerns. He hit all the cues we had indicated in the contract, and was incredibly enthusiastic from beginning to end. Matt from Beat Train was contracted to do our wedding in Maine in September. A hurricane had something else in mind and we were forced to change our plans and get married the day before. Although Matt couldn’t make it out for the wedding (which again, we had to move a day up with 24-hour notice) he showed up the next day and absolutely blew it out of the park.
Everyone was tired and hungover from the wedding the night before but Matt managed to fill up the dance floor for a whole nother night! Not a small feat!
His choices were spot on, he had something for everyone, and he read the room better than any DJ I’ve experienced.

We got in touch with Matt last year through BeatTrain to DJ our wedding in May, and after our first call with him, we knew he was the DJ we wanted. Not only is Matt a genuinely kind person, but he is very good at what he does. He was such a calm, fun, and encouraging presence leading up to the day – he took the time to get to know us, learn what we liked and didn’t like, and really wanted to know how to establish the right vibe for us. Once he had that information he was super self-sufficient in pulling final song lists together, cutting down the parent dance songs, setting up, etc.
On the big day when the reception started, the dance floor was NEVER empty! Our family and friends absolutely loved him. He was amazing at reading the room and playing music that worked for everyone (while mixing in our own requests as well). As a music producer, Matt understands how to mix tracks without weird pauses, jarring shifts in tempo, or other rough transitions. It helped the whole night feel like one continuous party. Our guests were genuinely bummed when the last song played and I can’t think of a better sign of a good DJ.
We would absolutely recommend working with Matt – we had nothing but a great experience working with him and are so thankful he was on board for our wedding!

My husband and I used Be See Music at our wedding last year and we are STILL getting compliments on how much fun everyone had dancing! Matt was professional and easy to work with from the beginning. His easy going but thoughtful attitude was exactly what I needed as a stressed-out bride; I knew that he would have everything under control!

While looking through the list of DJs, we found that Matt Perry definitely suited our dancing needs! We met with Matt in Portland, ME and he was awesome. On the day of the wedding, he arrived early and was ready to start our ceremony all the way through the night. He was able to play for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. I hired Matthew Perry to DJ the reception for a wedding I was in charge of providing entertainment for. Matt showed up early to set up his gear and was eager to help my crew and I out afterwards. During his set, Matt exemplified a great deal of professionalism and was clearly competent in his department.
There were absolutely no issues with gain staging, or interruptions between songs the whole night. He was very meticulous about making sure the set would go perfectly as planned. Whenever the audience members made a request, he was not only accommodating but also very respectful to them. My clients were extremely happy with his services and I would absolutely hire him again.

After 2 years working with Matt Perry, it still impresses me how hungry he is for knowledge. This makes him knowledgeable, approachable, and shows he has initiative. His cool demeanor in stressful situations and willing to please goes a long ways in a gig. Whether he’s a colleague DJ, producing a track for a client, or engineering sound for my band, he’s dependable and professional.

He is all the things you hope for in a DJ at your wedding: He was professional and on time, very attentive to our preferences for music (including our do not play!), and he kept the dance floor going strong for the entire night. He was right on cue with announcements without ever being showy or intrusive. Beyond his skill as a DJ, Matt is an engaged, present person who seemed to be truly enjoying himself while helping make our wedding go just how we wanted it to go.
