Katy Sackett from Beat Train Productions was the DJ at our wedding this October, and we had an amazing time working with her! Katy met with us prior to the event and truly listened to our musical wishlist for the big day- and boy did she deliver! Our wedding was renaissance fair / steampunk-themed, and Katy did a wonderful job of putting together an instrumental setlist for the cocktail hour with only rough “vibes” from us as guidance! During the dancing, she expertly blended musical options from diverse genres- combining our nerdy must-haves with pop favorites that we (and the audience) couldn’t help but dance and sing along to! Katy also provided mics for the major speaking moments during the ceremony and reception, and the sound was always top-notch. It’s also notable that, due to unforeseen circumstances, Katy stepped in to DJ our wedding pretty last minute, which makes all this preparation that much more impressive!
Katy came in and saved us when our previous DJ bailed!! She was referred to us by a close friend and we are so so grateful! She was super communicative and flexible out-of-the-gate and just made us feel so at ease about the situation. She was so patient and understanding with us for our (far too particular) requests and followed directions flawlessly. Like me, she had a plan B, C & D for everything and was super organized and professional throughout the entire process. Not only did she deliver on all our needs but our guests were loving it!! We are so thankful we found Katy and most definitely will be referring her to my friends!
We asked Katy to DJ for my parents’ 60th and she went above-and-beyond. She was responsive to last minute changes and even came early to help us set up. I gave her little instruction and she knew exactly how to handle it. She made sure to play all of their favorites and even mixed in some tunes for the younger crowd. We were so impressed by the variety of her music library – she hit the nail right on the head.
We are so happy we chose Katy for our private party. It was a super diverse crowd but she came prepared with all types of music from oldies, latin/afro, punk rock, hip hop – you name it. She took requests like a champ and delivered on basically all of them. We got so many compliments throughout the night and multiple people asked me for her booking contact. We did not expect everyone to stay as long (or as late) as they did but Katy truly made the night unforgettable. Thank you so much!!
Katy killed it at our end-of-semester mix & mingle! She set the vibe right with easy-going tunes that got everyone comfortable, and ramped it up through the end of the night until everyone was out of their seats and dancing. The venue even asked if she wanted to stay on to play until close – and she did! 10/10 would book again.

Katy was an amazing wedding DJ, and we’re so glad we found her through Beat Train DJs. She was warm, professional, fun, and always responsive throughout the planning process. She really listened to our preferences and made sure our favorite songs were prioritized, which made the night feel so personal.

DJ Katy is absolutely phenomenal. She really listened to our vision of wanting a high energy dance floor and delivered the most incredible set of millennial banger remixes (at our request) that spanned multiple genres. Our guests had the greatest time and the dance floor stayed packed the whole night.

I had a great experience hiring Katy as DJ for my birthday party (a big one, but I’m not saying how big) through Beat Train. I went with Katy based on her eclectic musical interests, approachable vibe, and reasonable rate. Katy was amazing to work with, listening to my ideas and adding creative input of her own. She put together a top-notch mix and nailed the transition from dinner to dancing with her emcee skills. She got people on the dance floor and kept the groove going, even drawing out some friends of mine who are usually shy about dancing. I highly recommend Katy for your next big event!

Katy Sackett of Beat Train was our DJ for our wedding and we could not have been happier! She kept in touch with us throughout the planning process and made sure every detail that we envisioned was taken care of. On our wedding day, she helped make it as perfect of a night as it could be. She brought high energy, played great music, including all of our requests, and got people on the dance floor having a great time. In addition, her customer service was unexpected, but so welcomed – she kept checking in on me and my husband throughout the night to see what we wanted and if everything was going alright, which was above and beyond her duties. Highly, highly recommend!!

Beat Train was absolutely amazing from the owner meeting with us and getting the background on us. Always prompt to getting back to us whether it was a call or email. We ended up going with DJ Katy Sackett, let me tell you she’s amazing in every sense of the word. She was so easy to talk to and helped us map out what we wanted on our special day. On our wedding day she was alway checking in with us and played the music that we love plus she’s got some great mixes. I would highly recommend her for any event!

Everyone on the Beat Train team was amazing! Right from the first inquiry, they were quick to respond, thoroughly answered any questions we had, and made sure to match us up with a DJ that fit our needs. DJ Katy was INCREDIBLE! She was so fun to work with and is super talented at what she does. She had our whole wedding dancing the entire evening and played a great mix of all genres. She was also a great emcee and kept everything running smoothly. You could tell she put a lot of time and energy into making the playlists. She was THE BEST and we would highly recommend her and Beat Train to anyone!
