Minhee Jones is everything from a classical pianist to a punk rock bassist to a sparkly keytar-wielding pop vocalist to the ultimate dancefloor manipulator on the decks. Basically, she’s unpredictable. But that’s exactly what you to keep your crowd on their toes and in their dancing shoes all night long.
After spending the better part of the last decade as a touring musician backing up pop sensations on keys and vocals as well as touring her original projects, Minhee found herself stuck at home in London during the pandemic with zero gigs on the horizon.Â
That’s when she got herself some DJ decks and learned how to mix. It was a natural progression for the musician turned songwriter turned producer.Â
Minhee brings not just an extensive knowledge of music but a deep-rooted natural feel for rhythm, harmony, and groove that she uses to make one-of-a-kind mixes that jump from Motown classics to 2000s hip hop to current dance tracks without skipping a beat.Â
She loves taking challenging and eccentric requests and finding provocative new ways to play familiar old songs.Â
But most importantly, she’s passionate about making sure the music perfectly captures her clients’ unique personalities and never stops bringing the fun.Â
She’s just landed in NYC and is excited to expand her DJ career on the east coast!
