ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE WEDDING VENUES IN NYC – PART 3

Welcome back for installment number 3 of our 3 Part series on absolutely unique wedding venues in NYC!

The first installment took a look at the gorgeous Beekman building and the dramatic and theatrical Angel Orensanz Foundation, and in the Second installment we learned about the Hall des Lumières and the Brooklyn Botanical Museum.

So without any further ado, here are the last two NYC wedding venues that we feel are absolutely in a class of their own! These venues will definitely lend a not so subtle pop of drama to your day, and grant your seriously good wedding reception vibes!!

Brooklyn Grange

Imagine saying “I do!” with the backdrop of a gorgeous, private, ecologically sound, and lush roof-top garden! Complete with stunning panoramic views, right here in Brooklyn! Intrigued?!

Brooklyn Grange was founded in 2010 by Ben Flanner and Anastasia Cole Plakias, and is now the leading rooftop farming and intensive green roofing business in the US! The Brooklyn Grange operates the world’s largest rooftop soil farms, which happen to be located in New York City, and promote sustainable urban living by building green spaces, as well as hosting educational programming and events, and improving access to locally grown produce in NYC communities. Brooklyn Grange operates three rooftop farms in Brooklyn and Queens spanning 5.6 acres and impressively produces well over 100,000 lbs of organically-grown vegetables per year!

Brooklyn Grange combines the rustic ambience of a working farm that just happens to come with multiple unbeatable rooftop locations

First up is the 1.5-acre Brooklyn Navy Yard farm where guests are greeted by panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline and East River waterfront as they follow winding paths between fields of seasonal crops to the main event. Perfect for hosting anything from micro-weddings of up to 25 guests, up to groups of 100 for a seated dinner reception. Your guests will enjoy a large, paved, deck, perfect for a welcoming bar, cocktail-style mingling, and seated dining. This patio is also covered by a weatherproof awning for rain protection (just in case the weather doesn’t cooperate) and strung with elegant, dimmable Edison bulb string lights.

Next up is their 3.2-acre rooftop farm in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, which is capable of hosting groups from 50-150, in their new, light-flooded indoor events space with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors. The venue overlooks the New York Harbor, downtown Manhattan and our beloved Lady Liberty. Locally sourced bluestone creates outdoor patio spaces that happen to be as timeless as they are ecologically friendly!

One final note, Beat Train Productions is already listed as a preferred vendor for Brooklyn Grange!
