We were married in Brooklyn in May 2016 and used Mike from Beat Train as our DJ. Without a question, Mike was the highlight of our entire wedding, and I do not say that lightly. The dance floor was PACKED the entire night and guests couldn’t get enough of his work. (We had 175 guests and at one point in the night, I counted 4 people sitting in chairs. 171 dancers out of 175…nice work, Mike!). I was expecting a typical wedding dance floor but this was more like a off-the-charts dance party. Mike went with the flow, read the audience, and let it turn into the most exhilarating party I’ve ever been to. It’s been almost 3 months later and all our guests keep talking about is the music and the dance floor, and I credit this 100% to Mike. My biggest reservation with shelling out $ for a DJ was that he/she would make a playlist that I could have made myself on Spotify, consisting of Top 50 wedding beats and other routine songs. Mike demonstrated he was worth every penny. He made the most interesting, addictive, fascinating remixes, mash-ups, and sequences that hit the perfect balance between playing music people like (the teenage cousins, the 30-something coworkers, and grandma could all get into) and never boring people with overly-predictable hits. The whole team at Beat Train was responsive, polite, and extremely professional – they stay on the mark with paperwork, email check-ins, etc. I would enthusiastically recommend Mike and Beat Train to any couple out there.
Every bride wants to have “the perfect” wedding and I was no different. I needed to ensure I found a DJ that would play the music I wanted ( I love the 80s and 90s) and who truly understood how important it was to me that everyone have a good time at the reception. Dj Mike Haggadorn not only played the music I loved but found a way to incorporate more traditional songs for a majority of my guests that were older. The dance floor was never empty and we didn’t want the night to end and asked Dj Mike Haggadorn if he would stay an extra hour. He obliged without hesitation. Everyone that I spoke with that evening seemed to comment on what a great DJ I found and how lucky I was that he was playing so many different genres of music that appealed to everyone at the wedding. Dj Mike Hagadorng was extremely professional and made sure I had “the perfect” wedding.

My husband and I had a great experience with Beat Train Productions at our wedding reception two weeks ago. The entire team was courteous and professional in the months leading up to the wedding, and our DJ, Mike Haggadorn, was communicative and helpful. He took the time to both have a call with us and to meet with us beforehand, in addition to email correspondence. He also coordinated with our venue to load in and out and set up his equipment, and made everything as easy as possible for us. At the reception, Mike was pleasant, fun, professional, and excellent at reading the crowd and encouraging whatever activity it was time for, from dancing (he really got the group dancing with his great music selections!) to eating the various courses, to the cake cutting to the bouquet toss. We booked with Beat Train after hearing one of their DJs at a friend’s wedding. While we felt working with them was a bit of a splurge, Mike Haggadorn was totally worth it as the dance floor was packed all night long. Mike was everything we wanted in a DJ – professional, respectful of our wishes and delivered a energetic dance party. Guests old and young had a great time and many commented that they “haven’t danced like that in years!”. The Beat Train team was very responsive to your questions and easy to work with. No regrets here.
I am at a loss for words when it comes to describing how much of a relief it was to work with such a professional and nice group of individuals. We were married at the Bronx Zoo in May and declined their preferred vendors for BeatTrain. Best decision we could have made! DJ Mike Haggardorn was wonderful. Our guests are still complimenting the music and how much fun they had dancing all night (I almost wish you could see a clip from the wedding!). We also included the Photo Booth which was so much fun. Not to mention, they are extremely fair with pricing. I would not look anywhere else.
