Biggie Quick Mix – Boston Wedding DJ Playlist

Canibus said it best on “Second Round K.O.” when he took on LL with “…cuz the greatest rapper of all time died on March 9th.” It’s a cliche thing to say, but Biggie is definitely my favorite rapper of all time — with Nas being a close second. With only two legitimate commercial albums under his belt, he [helped to] ushered in the era of champagne and couture rap, talking about “money, h*es, and clothes” like none before him. In only a short time, he left an indelible mark on rap and the rap culture and a void that can never be filled — and not simply because East Coast rap has once again changed course and its sound. In putting together my most recent wave of quick mixes, this Biggie Quick Mix has been done in his honor featuring some of my favorite songs and smooth R&B features and also a few edits and remixes. This is by all means not a “Best Of” mix; simply something I put together on the fly with some real good rap music.
